This section of the AT runs 20.7 miles from Swatara Gap to PA Hwy 183. Along the way the trail passes PA Hwy 72, I-81, Little Mountain, the William Penn shelter, PA Hwy 645, PA Hwy 501, the 501 shelter, and Summer Hill.
